Before You Set Off For A Ride Bike check – tyres, brakes & lubrication Tell someone your route and estimated return time What to carry – spare tube, chain tool, multi tool, pump Always take plenty of fluids & food
Training routine. In brief You should build your riding distances regularly & gradually Always drink plenty of fluids when riding – one litre per hour minimum Listen to your body – it will tell you a lot about how you are riding Check out training schedules etc. to suite your needs. Team up with a friend of similar ability – you will find each others motivation a help . A structured training schedule is valuable to work with. Start now with a training diary - Date – Distance – Time – Route – Weather – Level/intensity
